Have you ever thought what you would do if you were wealthy? Would riches mean that much to you? Or would you rather have good health?

Give You Health

If one man owned all the gold and silver
Every scrape of platinum found on Earth
When he faces that final judgement day
We wonder what his soul might be worth

He must account for the way he acquired it
These riches he had gotten in all his days
If he done things contrary to God's word
There is no way to Heaven his riches pays

Earthly riches might be impressive to some
To God it is not worth much more than dirt
Greed to accrue the wealth of some others
Might cause that victim's family to be hurt

Be happy when you get the love of Jesus
For His love is worth more than any wealth
Be thankful and pray to the our Lord above
To forget the riches, but to give you health

When that roll is called up in Heaven
I know I will meet then all once again
Smiles will light up that wonderful day
My life in that Eternal City shall begin

Love will fill our hearts to overflowing
I'll see sweet Jesus and bow at his feet
Believing and trusting in our dear Savior
Will make my trip to Heaven complete

Beautiful angels will strum their harps
As that great choir sings their songs
Everything will be more than perfect
For everyone here in Heaven, belongs

Peace and comfort will follow us all
Every day of our Eternal Life up there
Under the guidance of our dear Lord
There will never be a worry or a care

My Loving Mother

I think all boys (men) have a special feeling for their mother. My mother was no exception. She has been gone now nearly 20 years, but the thoughts of her will never leave me until I see her again in Heaven.

I know when I enter God's kingdom
That again I will see my sweet mother
To walk on the Golden Shore with her
Will give to me a feeling like no other

On Earth she was a determined lady
Raising four children as best she could
With little help from a roaming husband
Everything she could do for us she would

I know God smiles upon her in Heaven
This mother like God wanted her to be
Always worrying about her little children
Two girls and two boys, youngest was me

I can still hear the words she told me
She said come to Him before it's too late
Now I know what she was talking about
I will meet her up there at Heaven's gate

Beauty seen in a garden of Roses
Makes one feel thoughts of spring
With a fresh aroma adrift in the air
Beautiful realities it now will bring

Petals of various shades and hues
Gives to us a kaleidoscope of tints
Brilliant are these beautiful colors
All lying within this gardens stints

In morning dew we see on a rose
Sparkling like an expensive gem
Dropping down from the soft petal
To move on it's sturdy green stem

In this garden I could sit for hours
Admiring wonders God has made
Seeing all these beautiful flowers
In this Garden He has displayed

What a beautiful morning, though it is still winter and cold. The Sun shines brightly and reminds us Spring is just a few weeks away. May God Bless you and yours on this wonderful day.

Great will be that day when we enter Heaven
Marvels we could never dream will fill our eyes
Swift will be our journey up to that Eternal City
A wonderful land where no one there ever dies

Follow that path He has made to reach Heaven
Never sway from His commands or His teaching
If you listen He will show you the way up to Glory
Believe in Him, then Heaven you will be reaching

Love the Savior with all of your heartfelt feeling
There is much strength in the love He gives you
Throw out all those sinful thoughts in your mind
To God you must ever be both honest and true

Jesus died for all of our sins on Calvary's cross
He did it to bring us to a home on Heavenly high
If we all give our hearts to that great Holy Spirit
We will find that a beautiful City will be near by

Our Wonderful Church

It is not too often today that you find a church where all the members pull together. I am happy to say the church my wife and I belong to is this kind of a church. I don't think I have ever seen a more friendly group anywhere.

Friends we are and we will always be
Feelings of admiration for each other
Everyone over at the church we go to
Is known as our sister or our brother

So nice are all of the members there
Greeting you with a big broad smile
Shaking your hand with their greeting
When we are walking down the aisle

I know God smiles on our small church
So many things we know we must do
Anytime this church needs some help
Our members will see it come through

We are proud of this wonderful church
I love to hear the preaching of Kenny
Shawnee Hills Baptist Church is great
This is a church that's admired by many

A beautiful Sun is in the sky this morning, but I am afraid it is deceiving us. We are suppose to have rain changing to SNOW. Oh well Spring is just around the corner.

Walk a while with Jesus
See the smile on His face
It makes for a perfect day
Walking at a leisurely pace

Give your heart to Him
Tell Him how you believe
Deep in your heart today
To you He will not deceive

Ask Him to take your sins
He paid for them long ago
On that cross on Calvary
Proof that He loves us so

If you don't know our Savior
Get to know Him this day
His is your way to Heaven
He hears you when you pray

Beauty Of Springtime

Wintertime blues, cabin fever, or just getting ansy for warmer weather. I guess that describes me. I love Spring when it seems everything explodes into dazzling colors and the beauty of Spring is with us again. Wont be long......I promise.

Spring is just around the corner
Soon old man Winter has to go
Then we will see Earth's beauty
As flowers will once again grow

Springtime seems to be special
As Earth transforms its mantle
From the barren looks of winter
To looks of Spring that is artful

A season that refreshes Earth
When everything comes alive
Green leaves don all the trees
Fertilized lawns will then thrive

To see and smell new flowers
Gives meaning to this season
I guess God loves Springtime
Surely that must be the reason

Isn't the Lord's love wonderful?

One Sweet Day

No matter if I walk on the hills or valleys
My Savior will walk every where with me
He guides my pathway onward to Heaven
His beautiful city that one day I shall see

He is a friend who cheers my ever day
His love puts joy deep within my soul
I will never be alone, He is ever with me
I shall never forget that He is in control

Love Him because He loves everyone
Even the drunk that lives on the street
He knows even his life can be changed
If one day the Holy Spirit he does meet

No matter what sins he has done before
Jesus died to wash the sins of man away
If he confesses to God and he believes
Heaven will be his home one sweet day

It is a nasty rainy day today. Yesterday was great so I can't complain about that. God is giving seeds a drink of water so they will be ready for Spring. May God bless you.

To enter into God's great Kingdom
There are things that you must do
No special passes are given to us
To the Holy Spirit we must be true

Ask and He will take away our sins
No matter what past things you did
He died upon that cross for us all
Listen and follow what He does bid

If you believe and heed His words
His Kingdom will be waiting for you
He will welcome you home to Glory
Up there where the sky is ever Blue

When that trumpet sounds for us
Will you be ready to meet the call
Then be safe in the arms of Jesus
From which He will never let us fall

His love brings joy into my heart
To my Savior I give praise daily
Visions of His Kingdom I dream
His mansions filled with beauty

Share a thought with our Savior
He will show the right and way
Never give doubt to His promise
Listen with a pure heart today

He can ease all your troubles
Take each and every sin away
Free your mind of the old devil
God listens every time you pray

Let Him know you so love Him
Ask and He will talk with you
Find out He is our great Savior
Believe in Him and be saved too

So Special

It is a lovely Sunday afternoon here in Southern Ohio. It seemed like a good time to reflect on the feelings that God gives to us. I hope you might get some of the feelings I felt while writting this poem.

As the days keep right on moving along
Precious thoughts of Jesus fill my head
Comfort and peace He brings to my mind
Happiness replaces what once was dread

I sing praises to His Holy name every day
His love for us is great and grows each day
He died on that old rugged cross for us all
Study the Bible for it will show you His way

Seek and find the voice of our great Savior
Listen and obey everything He has to say
Feel the Holy spirit that He gives unto you
Know that you will walk with Him one day

When the gates open up there in Heaven
I want to be there to see the land eternal
What happiness and joy we will see there
God has made this place for us so special

Faded and Gone

Although I know I don't have that many years remaining, it hurts to see what is happening to the land of the free. Our country seems to be sliding down a pathway of destruction and few people seem to care.

We see our country's workforce dwindling
I now wonder what our future might bring
Seems as everthing we buy is foreign made
Our economy certainly is feeling the sting

What has happened to us must be greed
How do they think we can buy without a job
Most of the big stores are buying from China
At one time it was a country we used to snob

We know bickering will not solve the problem
There are many things that we should do
Getting back to ideas that made this country
We need to bring God back in our lives too

Too bad some have lost the religious principle
A thought this great country was founded on
If the powers to be don't wake up very soon
They will find our country has faded and gone

God Is Everything

We have had some high winds the past couple of days. Many people lost their power. We are lucky we have a natural gas generator that keeps our power on. Last night it flickered a couple of time but never went off.
Thank our wonderful God no injuries happened as far as I know. Just material damage.

God Is Everything

I often sit and think of the days gone bye
I also wonder what the future might bring
Each day I strive to do the very best I can
One thing I know is that God is everything

Through the years something was lacking
I had often wondered just what it might be
Then one day He came into my bland life
His love and compassion had entered me

He has walked and has talked to me daily
He tells me of that glorious land in the sky
Where we will all gather on that bright day
His only Son died for us now I know why

Today I thank Him for this beautiful feeling
Knowing He entered my heart with His love
Bringing to me comfort and ease of my mind
Sent to me from God's Kingdom high above

Forever Blue

It is a beautiful morning here in Southern Ohio. After snow and ice the past couple of weeks it looks like it might get a bit warmer. I can hardly wait until Spring gets here. Forever Blue

On this picture perfect February morning
A brilliant Sun lights up the Eastern sky
Melting frost that was painted last nigh
tSoon Spring will cause the Winter to die

Beautiful Spring will bring us the flowers
Our hills will come alive with Green trees
I know God made Spring after the Winter
To make it warm after the Winter's freeze

He carefully planned each of the seasons
A time to plant the crops and a time to reap
A time to store what is needed in the Winter
Knowing what we will eat and what to keep

There is a cycle of life for all our foodstuffs
Unlike that life that God gave to each man
Only one life shall we have here on Earth
But God has given us an everlasting plan

If you believe and trust in our dear Savior
An eternal life He has there waiting for you
Up there in the land that is called Heaven
There where the skies will be forever blue

If everyone's heart was filled with love
There would be nothing to worry about
Not a single war would we have to face
Happiness would abound without doubt

Beautiful would be the life here on Earth
But my friend I am sorry it is not that way
But If everyone loved our Lord and Savior
They will find it like that in Heaven today

Love is our greatest gift from God above
Given to you as you when life first begins
It is meant to follow you through your life
Not to come to you in spurts and whims

Praise be the Lord who made it this way
He knew love should grace every heart
That love should last all our Earthly life
That is why He gave it right from the start

It is a lovely Saturday morning with temps to be near 60 today. Looks like the ice and snow are going to leave us and not too soon for me. I have a new poem to post this morning. I hope you like it.

His Greatest Promise

I know our home will be up in Heaven
This is a place He has prepared for us
It is with the upmost beauty He made it
There we will see our wonderful Jesus

There we will find our friends waiting
Brought up from the Earth down below
Never again to face woes and troubles
We know because the Bible tells us so

It's a breathtaking view we will see there
With Mansions made of Ivory and Gold
God has told us we can be there forever
This is the greatest promise He ever told

If we will believe and trust in our Savior
His Heaven will be a home for you and me
If you follow on a path that He shows you
He will give you Heaven for all of eternity

He Is By My Side

It is very cold this morning. When I went to church last night my Ford pickup wouldn't start. It only has 6000 miles on it. I started my Crown Vic without any problems. I will have to start the pickup again in a little while. It being cold inspired me to write this poem.

He Is By My side

So beautiful is this Sunny February morning
Frost is in the air and snow is on the ground
Diamond like ice chips cling tightly to the tree
Waiting for the Sun to make them unbound

God has made this day so pretty and clear
Although it is very cold when walking outside
Snow is crunching under our feet as we walk
I can feel the thrill of knowing He is by my side

He will walk beside me through good and bad
Never forsaking me no matter where I should go
I smile as the vapor comes from my warm breath
As I am walking along this path of frozen snow

Joy will be found in your heart when you meet Him
There will never be a feeling more sweeter to you
Than that day when we all gather there in Heaven
There where happiness is felt through and through

Heavenly Land

It has been a cold winter here in Southern Ohio. Staying in the house most of the time gives you a chance to reflect on you life. For us to know there is a greater place ahead. With that thought in mind I wrote this poem this morning.

Heavenly Land

Time on Earth is getting shorter
Are we ready for what is ahead
If you have met our great Savior
You live in happiness, not dread

His word has told us to repent
Then He will take our sins away
Trust in Him and if you believe
Heaven you will see some day

Follow Him into righteousness
For His is the right and the way
Through Him you will see Eternity
Be ready for the Judgement day

I dream of that blissful morning
When at God's Throne I stand
To shout out HIs name in Glory
Up there in that Heavenly land

I am a young 77 and love to write poetry. I wrote my first poem in 1998 and since that time have written more than 2000 poems. I belong to a writers group called the Phoenix Writers in Porsmouth, Ohio. I have my poems on the web site www.angelfire.com/oh/Acie

If this morning you should meet Him
Would you know what words to say
Did you read His words in the Bible
Would this be your very special day

For you know He is the great creator
Everything was made by His hands
He made the mountain and the seas
He created both lush and arid lands

When you see Him smiling sweetly
Will a smile come to your face too
Can you tell Him that you love Him
You surely must know He loves you

Would you tell friends you met Him
That He has built this place for you
In a far away land that is wonderful
Believe and He will let you come too
