Forever Be True

Lord you are the Master Carpenter
I am only an old rough piece of board
After You have shaped and polished me
Let Heaven then become my great reward

Your words will be the finishing touch
To bring out the best that I can ever do
Your love I can feel as you remind me
I was created and brought to life by you

I can only repay you by having the faith
Some day you will take me to your place
Where mansions of marble await me there
When I meet you there I have won my race

You, I will worship with all my heart and soul
Until that day You call me to be there with you
Knowing that day could be coming very soon

As We Pray

Knowing the Lord is my Shepherd
Brings peace and contentment within
He watches over me and He protects
He has taken on Himself all of my sin

He brings the sun onto our pathways
He restores all my faith with His word
I know that He can only tell the truth
His is the greatest story I ever heard

He tells me of that most beautiful city
Where we shall eternally live one day
Where the fields are green and lovely
It's a place for all God's children to play

If everyone understood the love He has
What a revival we would have every day
We would sing to His Glory long and loud
Then fall down on our knees as we pray

When You Pray

I was lost and all alone
Until I did find His word
Now I am free of the sin
His lessons I have heard

I have read it in the Bible
How He can save my soul
Take away all of my sins
Bless, and make me whole

He walks and talks with me
Each day of my life here
Enthused by all His words
I want Him to walk near

Never ever turn Him away
For He is the light and way
Ever hold fast to His words
Be honest when you pray

You Will Abide

If you will give your heart to Jesus
He will give to you treasures untold
He will show you the right way to go
That will be more precious than Gold

Listen to each word as He talks to you
Ask Him if you don't know the answer
Always show faith and be courteous
Your place in Heaven will be His offer

He laid down His life to take away sins
On that old rugged cross he was placed
With nails piercing through His hands
A slow painful death is what He faced

We all know what He has done for you
Don't you turn away from Him and hide
Tell Him of your belief that He is Lord
That in His Holy word you will abide

That Old Farmer

He hears the rumble of the thunder
As the lightning is flashing so bright
There is going to be a storm brewing
As the Heavens light up a dark night

Torrents of rain will soon be falling
To dampen the the now dry ground
An old farmer's prayers are answered
His faith in God again has been found

For many years he has lived on Earth
Through these years He relied on God
To keep his family safe from all harm
As he produced the food from his sod

Now they are all gone from his home
He sits on the porch, thinks, and prays
Remembering the time with his family
Wishing he could go back to those days

It Was Written For You

I hear the raindrops falling on that tin roof tonight
Bringing back memories of a yesterday long ago
Time was of no concern back in my youthful years
Wasting all that time, not knowing where it did go

Realizing now life is too precious to throw away
God has endowed you with talents you don't know
Look with your eyes wide open and you might find
A new venture that will cause you to work and grow

If not a carpenter who's work is like that of fine art
Perhaps a writer who can think out a very fine line
Maybe you could be called out to preach a sermon
Or you might have a restaurant where we can dine

God has made us something not to just throw away
But to find the things He wants us to learn and do
Most of all He wants us to understand all His ways
Read every word in the Bible, it was written for you

Love And Obey

I have ever got Jesus on my mind
I want to meet Him up there in Glory
To talk to Him and hear Him tell me
You've read of me. here's my story

Believe in Me and I will give to you
A life that is eternal with Me up there
No worrys will be with you in Heaven
For you will forever be in God's care

Sun will be with us everyday up there
Never will you see the darkness of night
With God's mighty arms holding on to us
He will take away any and all of our fright

Here on the Earth is where it must start
Our Holy Bible is where we find the way
Read it from cover to cover and read daily
To our Savior, you must love and obey

His Heavenly Care

I can hear the rumble of the thunder

Brace for that storm that is nearing us
Know that He is always standing near
He will protect us from all of the harm
If you believe Him you will have no fear

After the storm has passed us and gone
Remember to thank Him for protecting you
Tomorrow the skies will look so different
Without the dark clouds they will be blue

Don't forget He is your Heavenly Father
One day I know I will meet Him up there
Where no storm clouds will ever gather
I will be eternally in His Heavenly care

Walk along with our Lord
He will show you the way
If it is in the dark of night
Or to be a sun shiny day

He loves to walk with you
His path is the right way
It might be a little bumpy
Stay the course and pray

He is a comfort to us all
Ever to be by our side
His is the right and way
Still you must decide

Heaven will be waiting
When life here will end
If you walked with Him
I will see you my friend

If Today Would Be The Day

If today would be the day you meet Him
Are you prepared to be there by His side
Have you listened to all the words He said
Remember from Him, nothing can you hide

He doesn't want to punish, but to love you
Jesus took all your fleshly sins as His own
He suffered a death that was for us sinners
Shout out this message to all, let it be known

Follow His ways and you will see the harvest
A beautiful Home awaits you high up in the sky
He has made this mansion for our eternal life
So obey Him, He has given us the reason why

Fall down on your knees and praise Him daily
Never let the devil cause you to stutter or sway
Hold fast to our Savior's words found in the Bible
You will then be prepared to meet Him this day

As these birthdays come and go
It seems the sweeter you become
My lovely lady it's today I will say
Your beauty to me is still awesome

Your smile shows to me the sunshine
Your mannerisms are so very sublime
On Earth to spend our lives together
Until God calls us up to eternal time

Then we shall spend our lives together
In that city God has made for us to live
A land is of sweet contentment and joy
Where a new life for us He will then give

These birthdays with you are so sweet
But that sweetness happens every day
Our love is felt so deep within my heart
There is not a way it could ever go away

Understand Why

What seems to us to be impossible
We see that God has already done
From the giant trees of the Sequoia
To that small brook we can see run

Tall mountains that are up reaching
Seas that spread from sand to sand
Rivers that flow for a great distance
He made Earth a very beautiful land

Large oceans and skies of deep Blue
White fleecy clouds that float so free
A beautiful garden with many flowers
Everything we know there could be

He has given us a way to see it all
May it be by land or high in the sky
Ships to carry us to see the islands
Think and you will understand why

Is Something Missing

Have you ever felt something was missing
But up to now you have never realized why
God will show you the way up to Heaven
Believe in Him make sure you give it a try

His arms are always opened to you friend
He wants to take you to Heaven one day
Believe in Him and study the Holy Bible
Both will show you the light and the way

Have no doubts that the devil wants you
Stay on the path God sets for you to see
Know you are never alone, He is with you
To take you home, with Him you ever will be

What a beautiful Home awaits you and me
He has built it up in that eternal city of Glory
There where we can live a life that is forever
Without worry because He wants us to be free

A Great Reunion

There will be a great reunion up in Heaven
Mother's little boy soon will meet her there
Once again her loving arms will hold him
In that land that has no worry or any care

We will gather around, just one big family
There at the Fathers throne we shall meet
Smiles will be there to show our happiness
Many of our old friends there we will greet

We will listen to the angels singing hymns
There will be great voices that will join in
Love is seen with great passion among all
We are thankful Jesus saved us from our sin

My friend I hope I get to see you up there
Where there will be no ending of the day
You can be there too, study the Holy Bible
Then every day get on your knees and pray
