Goodbye March

Goodbye March I know we won’t miss you
Your icy cold winds have caused us misery
You’ve shrunk the figures in my checkbook
From the high cost of the gas and electricity

April we will welcome you with open arms
We know this month will not be like the last
We see the flowers start to pop into bloom
We are hoping the cold weather is now past

Soon the wonderful spring season will begin
Bringing life back to the lawns and to the hills
We will soon hear the whirring of the mowers
It is great that we will then see lower utility bills

Do we blame that rodent we call a groundhog
For sending all that miserable weather our way
No it is the seasons that God gives us each year
So now I guess we are all looking ahead to May

Suppertime In Heaven

When it is suppertime for us in Heaven
We will gather around God’s table there
We shall say Grace just before the meal 
We will hear our Lord lead us in a prayer

There will be angels singing at suppertime
Their harps will play in the sweet harmony
Joy shall rein for us throughout all Eternity
It is a glorious table God has for you and me

Suppertime will ever be a joyous occasion
Old friends shall be seated there by my side
We will eat the food only served in Heaven
It is forever in God’s Holy City I shall reside

When suppertime is over there will be singing
Praises to God will be in the songs that we sing
Joyful will be all our days up in God’s Kingdom
Exalting Jesus Christ who is our Heavenly King

Finding My Way

I will find my way to Jesus
Up on that faraway shore
Peace will be my comfort
Strife will be never more

He will heal all problems
No ills there will there be
I will rely upon my Savior
No heartaches will I see

My love for Him is ever
I know He loves me too
If you talk to Him today
You’ll find He loves you

His home shall be mine
Happiness forever I’ll see
Living eternally in Heaven
With all believers like me

A Final Home

Although storms rage God is with me
He will hold on to my trembling hand
My faith in Him will never ever waiver
I will see Him up in that Heavenly land

There to see so many things of wonder
Things never thought of here on Earth
God will give much peace and comfort
Showing what a Christian’s life is worth

To ever be with Him will be happiness
No trials in Heaven shall there ever be
One day I shall be there with my Savior
I pray that you up there I shall also see

This life on the Earth is just a short one
Life in Heaven will be for all of Eternity
God has made a home of great beauty
This will be a final home for you and me

My Old Friend

He is an old friend I met again this day
He is the kind of friend you would love
His name is Jesus He will save your soul
He has a home waiting for you up above

 Many days I have known and trusted Him
Still I cannot forget what I at one time was
A poor misguided sinner on his way to hell
This Earthly flesh had very many bad flaws

He has taught me the way to get to Heaven
It is through Him I must go to find my way
I will ever be honest and faithful to my Savior
Now I am ready for that great Judgment day

His home will be my home throughout Eternity
With so much beauty that we have never seen
White pillars of marble will be so clean and bright
With meadows so beautiful so lush and so Green

One Day

One day I will get to see that beautiful City
Where angels play and happiness abounds
There to be greeted by our dear friend Jesus
Standing on Heavens most sacred grounds

Gone will be all the ills we knew on Earth
It’s a perfect body up there we will know
There will be no stress or heartaches again
When with our Lord and Savior we do go

He will greet us at the portals of Heaven
Call our name just like an old friend would
Telling me that I have been a good servant
That I had done all the things that I should

He has made a home for me for all Eternity
This home He also has made for you my friend
Don’t be left out of this magnificent Holy place
When your life on this Earth comes to an end

Mother Singing

How again I would love to hear mother sing
Those old hymns that she could sing so well
She would turn her head up toward Heaven
Knowing her songs were heard you could tell

She would sing Amazing Grace oh so sweetly
Honoring God was her voice with every note
It seemed she knew the words to every song
Maybe every song that had ever been wrote

I know today she sings up There in the choir
Perhaps she does sing a solo once in a while
I know when God listens to her beautiful voice
On His face there will be this wonderful smile

One day I will be There to hear her sing again
With Golden harps we will hear the angels play
Perfect will be the day that God will give to us
Tears of happiness will fall like rain on that day

Springtime Is Coming

 As nasty winter comes to a close
Springtime is soon to be arriving
Yellow Jonquils will be in bloom
Springtime mantle will be thriving

This winter will soon be forgotten
As the weather starts to improve
Freshness of a warm spring breeze
Is something we surely will approve

I saw a Robin scratching for a worm
Soon she will start building the nest
Her mate will be there to help with it
It must be good enough to pass a test

God gives us these seasons for a reason
There is a time for things to come alive
There is also time for things to then die
There will be times for some to survive

Life With Our Savior

When this mortal life is over
We shall return again to clay
Our spirit will go up to Heaven
All bad memories will go away

There we will meet our Maker
Rejoice with the angels up there
Never know the aches and pains
That we had suffered down here

I’ll walk with the Prince of peace
Along the beautiful Golden shore
Feeling all the love He has for me
It makes me love Him even more

His home will be my eternal home
Where we will never measure time
Everything we need He will provide
Life with our Savior will be sublime

Love Him

If your world should end this day
Are things right with you and God
Have you confessed all of your sins
Before they put you under the sod

Know that all past sins can be forgiven
God’s son took them on as if His own
He died for the penalty of sin is death
He is the only perfect man ever known

If you are to share a home with Him
There are some things you must know
You must have faith in Him without fail
Then love Him and see that love grow

Jesus died so you can have a second life
Don’t throw your chance with Him away
Confess all the wrongs that you have done
You can start tonight as you kneel and pray

God's Great Land

When my earthly life is over and done
I shall walk with my Savior up in Glory
Make my home up there with my God
Then forever I will live that divine story

To see the wonders that God has made
In that land where we never grow old
It is with His perfection He has made it
City that has streets made of pure Gold

God is so wonderful and He loves us all
He gave up His Son to save us from sin
Who died the death that belonged to us
So that the gates of Heaven will let us in

Think about it and say a prayer to our Lord
Let Him know how thankful you are this day
He gave you a way to get to His great land
It is a trip that no amount of money can pay

Our Snowstorm

  
It all started with one tiny snowflake
This massive snowstorm of yesterday
Billions of snowflakes have piled up
Creating problems so deeply they lay

No school for all of the little children
Yet they can romp all day in the snow
I remember how life was like as a kid
How we kept from freezing I don’t know

Us older people had better stay inside
Stay out of that sub zero cold out there
Turn up the heat and stay comfortable
Inside out of that frightening frigid air

God gives us this weather for a reason
So don’t complain and accept it today
When we get up to His eternal home
He will explain why He did it this way

In His Book

There is a land where there is no worry
Only happiness there can ever be seen
Where every day the skies will be Blue
Fields where angels play will be Green


My aim is that one day I shall go there
Make it my home throughout eternity
Walk with Jesus upon that Golden path
There to worship Him daily so religiously


A land created by God for all His children
For God loves all His children just the same
In His book He keeps what you have done
Somewhere in that book He has your name


You can talk to Him and He will always listen
Keep love for Him as He will ever keep for you
He will always welcome your thoughts to Him
To your prayers He will give you an answer too
