It was a moonlight night in Bethlehem
In a manger there, a baby boy was born
This Son of God was entering the world
To face His life of rejection and of scorn
For there were many who would fear Him
While others mocked this Son of our God
So many would call Him an eccentric fool
They hated the ground where He had trod
As a man who lived on this earth one time
He faced many perils each and every day
Judas a disciple, who turned against Jesus
Selling Him out, a few gold coins was his pay
He hung on a cross on that Mount Calvary
Shedding His blood to save us all from sin
This Son of God born in a manger that night
Love Him, let your journey to Heaven begin
