When this Earthly life has past and is gone
Happiness I will feel but some sadness too
Leaving my loved one behind wont be easy
But it will be something God wants me to do
Knowing He will again reunite us one day
Should make this day much easier to bear
But think of how much better that I am now
Being without any pain In God's great care
I thank Him every day He gave you to me
Being married to the most wonderful wife
I think He must have looked the world over
To find you then keep us together for life
I know my waiting wont be so very long
Be it twenty years or even many more
I will be there in God's Heavenly Palace
Waiting to open that Eternal Golden door
