I first met Joe and his wife Nancy several years ago. We would go to Shawnee State University and have a good walk in the gym, then go in the pool and swim for a while. Like Joe, several of our friends, (called the Golden Bears) has passed on. I think it just goes to show our life us like the twinkling of an eye in God's great scheme for us. I know I shall see Joe in Heaven.

Although we know he is in Heaven
We all mourn the loss of him today
One day we will be with our friend
Listen to what the Bible has to say
He was a friend, a husband,a father
So pleasant in his manner every day
With a smile and a twinkle in his eye
It was a pleasure to know him that way
I know we all will miss our dear friend
A void it will leave in our life each day
Tho we know his home is much better
Since our Dear Lord called him away
Just remember our loss is God's gain
He will wait along the Golden Shore
For all of his friends and dear family
Then together they will be once more
